George HOOK married Dorothy FLOYD on 18 January 1819 in St.Mary the Virgin, Southwell, Nottinghamshire

 

John son of George and Dorothy HOOK, FWK, Mansfield W/H baptised 14 March 1819 in St.Edmund King and Martyr, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire [died in infancy]

 

George appears to have taken his mother's maiden name prior to emigration to the Cape
