Mr Thomas HART Merchant having a desire to become a settler at the Cape of G.Hope, respectfully begs to be informd if it will be consistent with the views of His Majesties Government to afford any patronage independant of a grant of land - He taking with him one or two agricultural servants and an assistant to promote any mercantile views which he may deem advisable in connection with his father's house in London. Mr J.H. consequently paying the passage of himself and servants and having at disposal a capital to promote the interest of his establishment. The combining the mercantile and agricultural pursuits being his object - The favor of an answer will be esteemed a very high obligation.
