Giles WILLAN and Rachel Emma MALCOLM were married by banns on the 22 August 1816 in St.George's, Hanover Square

Witnesses: Thos. BAINBRIDGE and [illegible]

 

See corresponence of Thomas BAINBRIDGE, who was a witness at the wedding and supposedly also sailed with Howard's Party.

The Settler Handbook says that a child, Sarah, was born at sea in 1820. The Death Notice (Cape Archives) for Sarah gives her father as Thomas but the dates otherwise fit.
