HENMAN, Robert - Extra Data

The Settler Handbook suggests a date of birth of ca 1785/6 but the Grahamstown Journal of 16 February 1837 says he died on 15 January 1837, aged 43, putting his birth at ca 1793/4. He was not the Robert HENMAN baptised 18 November 1794 in Lidlington, Bedfordshire, who remained in Bedfordshire all his life.

Elizabeth, daughter of Robert and Mary Ann HENMAN, Essex Street, baptised 26 October 1817 in St.Mary's, Whitechapel. Father's occupation: Carpenter.

These are to certify that Mary Ann LIVING daughter of Thomas LIVING and Mary his wife, who was daughter of William ADAMS, was born in Middle Row, Holborn in the Parish of St.Andrew above Bars in the County of Middlesex this fifteenth day of June in the year 1783, at whose birth we were present.
