The register reads: David DALGAIRNS Baker in the parish of Meigle and Beatrix LAING in this parish, daughter to the deceased Charles LAING, late Merchant in Perth. Elder Thomas BROWN. The above persons were regularly proclaimed and married August the 6th day by W. John DUFF one of the ministers of Perth, August the first day 1778 contracted.

Andrew DALGAIRNS in Ingliston and his wife Charlotte GREENHILLS had a daughter born on the 8th and baptised the 15th December 1790, called Charlotte.
If this is Charles DALGAIRNS' wife she would only have been 13 when she married. Girls in Scotland at this time could legally marry at 12.

Parish Registers for Andrew's wife give her name as Charlotte GREENHILL, but his gravestone appears to give her name as Mary. Mary may have been a second wife. The stone is covered in lichen and is difficult to read, but the MI seems to say:
