Haydock Park Farm. The area is best known nowadays for the nearby Haydock Park Racecourse, but Thomas BOARDMAN, father of the settler William BOARDMAN, lived at Haydock Lodge. The building became a lunatic asylum in 1843 and has now been demolished, but a picture of it can be seen here.
