St.Anne, Soho, from a sketch taken in 1840. Only the tower survived WW2. George BLAKEMORE and Sarah WEST were married here, as were John BROWN and Ann CAVE, Richard GUSH and Margaret EVANS, Benjamin HALL and Frances CRICK, James HOGSFLESH and Margaret CHANDLER, William HOWARD and Elizabeth SMITH, Robert PITT and Lucy RAPLEY, James TEMLETT and Ann WINTER, William VERITY and Elizabeth GARNESS and Peter Matthias WICHMANN and Catherine RICE. Philip John GAUGAIN was baptised in St.Anne's, and his parents, Peter John GAUGAIN and Jane LE COINTE, were married here. Two children of Peter Clarke DANIEL were baptised here, as well as George Augustus KOLBE, Edward and Tyndall (sons of Thomas PULLEN) and Amelia, daughter of John and Jane WYATT.
