St.George the Martyr, Borough High Street. George ADAMS and Sarah PRICE (parents of Thomas Price ADAMS) were married in this church, as were Thomas ALLEY and Susanna BAKER, James HANCOCK and Ann KENNEDY, Richard PICKSTOCK and Frances GRAVETT, Samuel SCROOBY and Louisa WELLER and John STAPLES and Ann BATH (parents of the settler John STAPLES). Charles Theodore BAILIE (eldest son of John BAILIE and Amelia CRAUSE) was baptised here, as was John Thomas DIXON (eldest son of John Henry DIXON and Margaret GURNEY), Edward SEARLE (SEPHTON's Party)and Bennetta Sarah WITHERIDGE (daughter of James WITHERIDGE and Sarah FLANNER).
