Portland Street Wesleyan Chapel, now demolished, was in the parish of Westbury on Trym but was actually situated in the St.Paul's area of Bristol. A daughter of William SHEPSTONE and Elizabeth BROOKS was baptised here (and buried in Holy Trinity, Westbury on Trym) and the children of George BROOKS (father of Elizabeth SHEPSTONE and Ann TAINTON) and his second wife, Mary EVANS, were also baptised here.
