My Lord,
Having applications from Newcastle and from Liverpool from parties wishing to avail themselves of the Encouragement given by Government to Emigrate to the Cape of Good Hope I request respectfully to be favored with copies of the official circulars issued at different times on that subject and at the same time to be informed whether there be still an opening for applications of such parties, to the extent of from 10 to 50 men each, and whether they might expect to be embarked from the above mentioned ports or where else it would be necessary for them to repair for that purpose.
I have the honor to be very respectfully
Your Lordship's most faithful servant
Alex. SINCLAIR
