My Lord,
I Robert CARTWRIGHT beg leave to address your Lordship for a grant of land and passage to the Cape of Good Hope, having a wife and son – the last 12 years has been spent in the publick service as carpenter at home and abroad and lately returned from France. Should be glad to be informed weather the rations continue till the land is in cultivation.
