My Lord,
I have taken the liberty of troubling your Lordship being referred to you by W TOOKE Esq. as wishing to emigrate to the South of Africa. I have been educated as a surgeon but as I find there is very little prospect of gaining any employment as there are so many of the profession the same way if your Lordship would be pleased to be the means of placing me in a situation in that Colony I should be truly ever grateful.
