Death Notice (Cape Archives) for son Samuel says he was born in Leek, but he was baptised in Ipstones, where William CARLISLE was curate.

Sam'l HAYES and Sarah JOHNSON were married by banns on 19 May 1807 in St.Leonard, Ipstones, Staffordshire
