According to his death notice he was born in England, the son of Nicholas FLANEGAN, and died during 1824.

Nicholas William FLANEGAN married Hannah WAKEMAN on 6 May 1792 in St.James Piccadilly, Westminster

No indication is given as to Nicholas FLANEGAN's status, but he was probably a widower when he married Hannah, as Timothy was born ca 1782. Nicholas and Hannah witnessed Timothy's marriage.
